Peter DeVitis L.Ac. , P.O.M.

Licensed Acupuncturist, Practitioner of Oriental Medicine

Peter grew up in Shippensburg and graduated from high school there. His learning of Chinese medicine began with getting his first book on it at the age of thirteen.  From 1990-91 he studied Amma (Japanese Restoration Therapy) under Professor Sig Kufferath 10th degree Grand Master of Kodenkan Jiu-Jitsu. In 1994 he studied Tai Ji Quan/Qi Gong under Master Kwan Saihung of the Hua Shan monastery in China.

He majored in biology at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.  He then got his Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 1999 at the Tai Hsuan Foundation (now the World Medicine Institute) located in Honolulu, HI. He was Nationally Board Certified in 1999 and practiced his first year in Boulder, CO.  He then moved to Tampa, FL and practiced for 6 years, before returning to Chambersburg to practice for the last 13 years.  Ultimately thirty six years of study, training and experience and the great fortune of having been able to learn under some of the greatest masters of our time.

Above is Dr. Lily Siou (Chang Yi Hsiang), the 64th generation Heavenly Master of the Lung Hu Shan monastary located in Jianxi, China.   She is the Taoist lineage holder of a 2,000 year old tradition dating inherited from the Han Dynasty. She began her training at the age of six under Chang En Pu, the 63rd Heavenly Master.  She is considered a "Living Treasure" in China.  She founded the Tai Hsuan Foundation in 1970 in Honolulu, HI.  The program consists of training in acupuncture, herbal medicine and Qi Gong.
